About Us

In 1948 Mr. Addley, senior, founded a commercial window cleaning company, which over the years grew in size. Through empathy and dedication to customer requirements he expanded the range of services undertaken.

The present Managing Director, John Addley, junior, joined the company in 1969 after a number of years working in the Construction Industry. It was here where he gained contract experience and formal technical qualifications.
Upon joining the firm he worked as a cleaning operative to gain practical experience before moving to supervision, sales and management. The company was incorporated under its present name in 1982. It was at this time that John became Managing Director.

In 2005 Mr. Addley retired as the Managing Director and passed the running of the company into the trust of Director Mr. Roger Marlow, who has over 20 years experience and knowledge of the industry.

John Addley Ltd provides a range of cleaning and maintenance services to industry, commercial organisations, government departments, local councils, health care trust, property management companies and many other types of organisations.

The company services fall under four main categories: -

Industrial Cleaning.
Hygiene Services.
Structural Cleaning
Painting and Contract Services.

Expertise has been gained over the years in specialist areas of cleaning. Such as, graffiti removal, ductwork cleaning, water system and cooling tower cleaning and disinfecting, chemical descaling and ultra high pressure water jetting. The most up to date types of plant and equipment are employed when undertaking these services. All our operatives receive thorough training in the safe use of chemicals and equipment.

Services are available 24hrs a day throughout the year. The company then is able to respond rapidly to customer emergency situations such as fire and flood damage, chemical spills and blocked drains.

Health and Safety is given the highest priority and the company is proactive in this regard. Operatives receive ongoing training and records are maintained in the individual’s file.

The operatives, prior to starting work, undertake a site specific Risk Assessment. Systems are in place for an additional Risk Assessment to be undertaken by the Managers in more hazardous situations, such as confined entry.

As part of the Health and Safety Procedures customers, staff and third parties are made aware of the works being undertaken and how it may affect them.
